This artifact demonstrates how to incorporate innovation and collaboration into an online learning module.

Using the interactive features in Moodle, it is possible to make learning fun and to meet the needs of a variety of learners; videos, graphics, texts, surveys, forms, and recorded lectures can all be incorporated into one course. Database functions and open-ended forums allow for collaborative knowledge construction.  In addition, quizzes, and case studies provide a well-rounded assessment of student proficiency.

ISTE 01:

Faciliate and inspire student learning and creativity

Just because trainings are online doesn't mean they have to be boring or cater to only one way of learning. The Masters of Science in Education: Information Technology program exposed me to a wide variety of tools that I could use to be more effective. The right technology can facilitate conversations, engage reluctant audiences, and make learning more accessible.

This artifact demonstrates how to promote student reflection and application to real-world problem solving.

This on-demand training module has built-in breaks in which students are required to apply the information to their environment. Real-world problem solving makes the material meaningful and keeps participants engaged in the training.
